This approach allows them to offer lower prices than traditional retailers while increasing customer loyalty. Vendors interested in applying for the DG 2020 Supplier and Diversity Innovation Summit online through Friday, Aug. 7 can submit applications. The virtual event provides companies that hold diversity certifications the opportunity to meet with DG’s buyers and category managers. In order to be considered eligible, vendors must not have sold products to DG in the last 18 months and possess one of five national diversity certifications.

Dollar General’s supplier diversity program supports minorities by removing barriers to entry. Eligible suppliers may apply online by Aug. 7; those selected will participate in virtual meetings with the company’s buyer and category manager through ECRM’s RangeMe platform on Sept 25-29.
