Are you looking to sell your product to Associated FoodMarket? If so, this training will give you some tips and tricks to get your product in their stores. Karen Waksman, founder of Retail MBA, will walk you through the process of selling to Associated FoodMarket, the largest group of independent groceries in the New York area.

About Associated FoodMarket

Associated FoodMarket is a retailer with over 250 locations on the East Coast. It is a great opportunity for you to sell to them as they have a lot of buying power. Additionally, since they are independently owned, you can sell to them on an individual level. This means you can get in your car and go down to the store and try to get them to buy your product.

Selling Your Product

If you have a product that can work in their stores, you can sell it via clip strip. A clip strip is a long, thin plastic strip that fits a lot of products between two shelves. It is a great way to get your product seen, but it can be risky. If you ship the product, it can get lost and the store associate can put it in the wrong area.

When you are dealing with a retailer in one general area, it is easier to fix any issues that arise. This is why Associated FoodMarket is a great opportunity for you. If something goes wrong, you can get in your car and go fix it.

Additionally, Associated FoodMarket is owned by the same corporation as Met Foods and Pioneer Supermarkets. If you are not getting anywhere with Associated FoodMarket, you can reach out to Met Foods or Pioneer Supermarkets and try to get a vendor number from them. A vendor number is a stamp that shows you are a vendor at that particular retailer. If you get a vendor number from one of these other stores, you can go back to Associated FoodMarket and tell them you are already a vendor in their system. This will make it easier for them to work with you.

Conclusion

Selling to Associated FoodMarket is a great opportunity for you to get your product in stores. It is a large retailer with a lot of buying power and since they are independently owned, you can sell to them on an individual level. Additionally, since they are owned by the same corporation as Met Foods and Pioneer Supermarkets, you can try to get a vendor number from them and use it to get into Associated FoodMarket.
